cliffpeterson Posted October 26, 2009 Report Share Posted October 26, 2009 with curtis fowlkes on trombone, goldberg on clarinet, scott amendola on drums, and charlie hunter on guitar. saw them at a club in albany, ny that usually presents rock/prog. apparently they are on a small east coast tour ending up at the jazz standard in nyc in about 7 days. next up is the iron horse. about 90 minute set. while they have a cd out, fowlkes appeared to be a little unfamiliar with the music. amendola and hunter were a tremendous rhytmn section. set up groove that goldberg and fowles could ride on. goldberg's writings were interesting.
