Interesting couple of snippets at TPM today with a jazz theme;

This one's a quick email from a correspondent in Istanbul raving about a festival going on there now.

This more interesting item talks about the Howard Theatre in DC, Atlantic Records' Ahmet Ertegun and after-hours jam sessions at "the ambassador's residence."
