hasan razzag this afternoon was playing his newly acquired beautiful sounding bass clarinet. hasan said that it came from cleveland and is apparently custom made.

copper is too soft, i would think, and would change sound during aging.

the instrument has no markings.

silly me. 2 hours later, i realize that the instrument tubing may be made of red brass, which looks a great deal like brass, and in fact, contains copper.
