The Archie Shepp Quartet with Siegfried Kessler, Cameron Brown and Clifford Jarvis recorded in 1977 in concert in Turin. Was happier with "Lush Life" and Dameron's "Clean Is the Scene" than with the opening "A Message From Trane", which was 28 minutes long and at blisteringly high tempo. Sound and visuals more or less adequate.

A real cookin' session from 1985 with Terence Blanchard, Jean Toussaint, Donald Harrison and Lonnie Plaxico. Nicely filmed and recorded, too.

Did you see this band at Ronnie's, Sidewinder?

Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers Live at San Remo, 1963

The classic Hubbard, Shorter, Fuller, Walton and Workman sextet, not so well filmed (looks like a TV recording) or recorded as some others in the Jazz Icons DVD series.

I saw the same band for two nights in 1985 at the Caravan of Dreams in Fort Worth, Texas. It was real good.
