At midnight on the dot, we start with Wagner's massive work Rienzi, an opera that has all the makings of a French Grand Opera except that it's in German.At 4:15 AM, tune in to hear The Flying Dutchman in a phenomenal recording featuring Astrid Varnay and the one and only Hans Hotter as the doomed captain.
