marcello
You should try schelping those three pieces around! The bars weigh about 50 lbs, the resonant tubes are light but ungainly and the frame with the legs are no picnic either. I didn't mention the bag of mallets and the electronic pickups that you have sling over your shoulder, and the foot pedal for the damper that always come off and the amp you need. I don't play, but I've helped to cart vibes around for a long time. You may enjoy this: VIBRAPHONE
alocispepraluger102
thx!!!! he held that string of keys up as if it weighed half that. he's a little guy, looked to be 5'6" superb wiki article(s). i thought vibes were just some tubes of varying length and diameter., mics, and a damper. the set steve nelson played last night at smalls(and always has) was huge, even ponderous. how vibists navigate n.y. subways and cabs mystifies me. marcello
There are two "strings" of vibraphone bars, so he was just lifting half of them.
