Free phone talking over the internet.

I just tried this free software from skype.com and it works well.

The sound is similar to a regular phone call.

It works like instant messaging. Yes, you can do text messaging too.

Just buy a mic (I got a headset/mic from Radio Shack for $3). Obviously, both parties have to be online at the same time and have the skype software. Works with with XP computers. Supposedly, the latest software, also works with 98 operating systems too.

It also has the ability to do conference calling. I haven't tried it yet.
