Zora's science fair project on the miniaturization of the transistor. The Commodore 64 and Xbox 360 illustrate Moore's Law and how many transistors fit on a single chip circa 1975 (when the 65xx chips were introduced by MOS Technologies) and 2005. The 6510 chip in the C64 has 3500 transistors. The Xenon chip in the Xbox has 164 million. The A8 chip in my iPhone 6 that I'm typing this on, released in 2015, has 1 billion transistors. Amazing.

Yes, this is real. Grover Norquist, rightwing intellectual.

Y'all can stop posting that FB status update about Zuckerberg giving away billions. I won it. He gave it to me. So long, Stinktown.

Working on new THEO songs and replacing a lead patch I made in Retrologue (virtual analog) with a re-creation made on the Andromeda (real analog). Guess which one won?
I like Retrologue a lot; it sounds really nice and is very easy to program. However, I was having trouble with this particular lead sounding too thin and wimpy in the mix. That's no longer an issue with the Andromeda and I was only using one oscillator. Analog FTW. -
Working hard on the new THEO album. Here's one of my favorite tracks off the first one. Enjoy.

Whoa. I had probably 30 messages in this folder, including some real humdingers from disgruntled conservatives. One guy back in December wrote "Who's the fascist now, asshole?" Uh... I don't know. Trump? Another sent me a screed against my posts about Scalia's faux intellectualism, essentially bestowing sainthood on the prick. My favorite? 'Stick to music'. Actually no. I'll write what I want, thank you very much. And the beauty is you don't have to read it. Amazing, isn't it?
But most of the messages were groovy people asking for Hammond help. So that's cool. -
What do I do on a late Tuesday night / early Wednesday morning when snowed in? Compare analog oscillator waveforms. Below is the triangle output from my Alesis Andromeda vs. the triangle from a synthesizers.com Q106 module. Exciting, isn't it?

We're having fun in the studio re-arranging some familiar tunes. Become a fan of organissimo on FB to keep updated on the release of the new album.

Ugh. Waking up to the news of the attacks in Brussels. The perpetrators are nothing but cowards. That's all I can say right now.
