Nigel Price Organ Trio + Vasilis Xenopoulos. Live At The Crypt. A new release from one of the UK's best groups. If you don't know Price he's worth a punt.

Agreed. And an interesting version of "Flowers for Albert" is also on a Henry Grimes CD I have, some live stuff from Finland from about 2005 when I saw them live: Henry Grimes, David Murray and Hamid Drake, wonderful !
And since we are talkin also about Sun Ra´s ESP record. And me talkin about Henry Grimes: A good suggest for listening is also Henry Grimes ESP album "The Call" with Perry Robertson and ....... ah....... a drummer I forgot his name.......
Agreed. I have the Finnish cd - excellent music. For an odd version of Flowers try the Skatalites with Murray.

After several weeks of Blue Note only its time for a change.
Astonishing stuff. So is the following.

Byrd's Eye View is particularly important to my listening. Sixty odd years ago I had an Esquire EP with Hank's Other Tune on one side. I was totally knocked out by Hank's composition, his playing and that of Byrd and the other participants. I'd never heard these players before and I knew this music was for me. So this was my introduction to Mobley and hard bop. Love it still.

A desert-island disc for this listener.
I've always enjoyed this one. Not keen on other things by this version of RTF. This one best represents their live performances at Ronnie Scotts.

I know that feeling.
