What's the story w/that Krupa thing?

He seems to be claiming that it was only issued on Clef, never on Mercury. I've never heard that before, and never had that LP, but I know this- it was only listed as being on Clef in my '84 reference guide, but it's listed both ways as of the '92 Goldmine guide (with no notation indicating any doubt of its existence). Anyway, I guess it must be relatively rare. I think there are numerous examples of LP's that came out on Mercury, but were soon reissued on Clef. I have the Mercury version of JAM SESSION #1, which is valued higher than the Clef version.

The phone number the guy gives out in the ad (805-965-2161)

comes back as:

American Pie Records, 614 N Milpas St, Santa Barbara, CA 93103

He's gotten some negative feedback for selling trashed records...

Typical comments:

"These albums should have been thrown away, not sold!!"

"Got ripped off! Nearly all albums were scratched or warped."

"70% scratched, worn out, NOT original."
