  1. I see. My last question (I promise!). Is there any way to precisely date my pressing other than 1978-81? It doesn't seem so...
  2. Right now I'm just trying to understand the (p)1975 in relation to what is (I believe) a 1978/79 release. /scratch head I appreciate this window you've given me into Nessa records, though!
  3. Thanks, again. Am I right to assume that the distribution deal with Flying Fish happened in 1978? Was that release the last Nessa pressing? Mine has this as well. Am I just being an idiot? I really appreciate all of this info and your time... not to mention all the amazing music you've made available!
  4. Thanks for you reply, Chuck. Is it possible what pressing (number-wise) a Nessa release is by label color? Or publication year (in this case '75)? I like to document my collection as much as possible-- especially if I'd like to get an earlier release, etc. Thanks again!
  5. is a variation on a theme

  6. Hi there-- I was wondering if you could help me answer a couple questions about a release of Nessa's? I just purchased a stunning copy of AEOC's "Les Stances A Sophie" (N4) that I'm trying to pinpoint a history/release on. I know it was first released in France in 1970 by Pathe Marconi. What year was the first Nessa release? At discogs.com they only list N4 as being released in 1979, whereas my copy has (p)1975 on the green-top/white label with Nessa's address listed as 5404 N. Kimball, Chicago. Discogs also has a listing for a 1970 N4, but it is incomplete and not verified. How many Nessa pressings of this album were there? Any help you can offer is very much appreciated and it is purely for my own curiosity/satisfaction. This is one of my favorite albums of all time and I will NEVER let go of it. It took me forever to find an original copy (ie. not a recent reprint) that wasn't a fortune... I paid $60. Thanks!
