  1. So my birthday was a week ago and so far nobody has given me a Dave Smith Instruments Pro2. It's okay if it's a little late. I know you're busy and all. Just send it over any time.

  2. Whoa. Check this out!

  3. SpeakEZ Lounge tonight with organissimo. 7pm.

  4. All right audio nerds, here's one: When performing a null phase test on rendered mixes, one rendered in real time and the other not, the only thing that doesn't cancel out is the reverb plugin. So the reverb is being processed differently (or delayed differently) depending on the method of render? This happened in both ProTools and Cubase. The reverb plugin in question is the Valhalla Vintage Verb. Remove the reverb and the null test results in no sound, just like it should. Thoughts?

  5. It's official. Zora is now taller than my wife. :)

  8. Just passed a truck on the expressway with a sign on the tank that read "Non-potable water". Well if it's non-potable, why you movin' it?

  9. We've reached the final show on our East Coast mini-tour. It has been a wonderful journey, re-connecting with old friends and making new ones. If you've seen one of the shows, we hope you had as much fun as we did. The last show is tonight in Rochester NY at The Flour City Station. 9pm. Come on out and celebrate with us! http://flourcitystation.com/portfolio-item/organissimo/

Doin' laundry and hangin' with good friends. I wish I could see my beautiful wife and kids on this day, but I'll see them later this week. Two more shows for organissimo on this mini-tour in NY: Syracuse at the Wescott Theater on Tuesday and Rochester at the Flour City Station on Wednesday. Then back home Thursd...

  18. The coolest part of tonight's gig at The Falcon is that Charles Earland's widow was in attendance... and loved the band. She complemented me on my use of registrations. Wow.

  20. Inspiration strikes. Matt Tecu Kevin DePree

  21. I think that was 2006. Long time ago. We no longer have Peaches in the repertoire, since we've been through two guitarists since then. We'll get it back in the setlist one of these days. It will be great to see you again!
  22. "Whereas chart-toppers in 2005 read between a third and fourth grade level, a decade later that average is declining, and fast. In 2014, the reading level of a Billboard No. 1 single averaged between a second and third grade reading level, with the bar trending downward in five of the last 10 years." Sweet. That means in another 30 years or so, lyrics to pop tunes will be comprised of a kindergartner's vocabulary. "A doo doo doo, a da da da, that's all I want to say to you." Oh wait.

  23. Flying to Vegas in a few hours to play with BIG APPLE BLUES tomorrow night.
