  1. The Raritan River Club - it's been years...I didn't know they book Jazz. The Old Bay is the place I was thinking of, I just couldn't remember the name. Back then the place used to be packed, I'll check it out this weekend, take a drive down on Fri or Sat and see what's happening. Don't know Delta's. Don't think the Court or the Corner is happening. Thanks for refreshing my memory Michael.
  2. We will be shooting for another east coast mini tour in Feb. So it is quite likely that Jim and the boys will be closer than D.C. to ya. G ← Cool. I should do a recon drive to New Brunswick, NJ to see what the scene is now. It's only a 1/2 hour away, I used to live down there but I've lost touch with the scene. Get that Rutgers crowd in! And you might want to check this place out. I've never been there, but it looks pretty established in an upscale town.
  3. Dang, I was thinking of driving down, I don't know about driving that far in Feb. weather. Maybe I could take the train if it's close to the venue.
  4. Ask your friend if he/she would sell said amp for 150.00! Otherwise, a solid state practice amp may be in your future. There are some good ones, for sure. This Looks Like A Good Option Have fun! g ← He bought that amp from a co-worker for $50. I just need to find one for that price... Until then, That Vox looks like the real deal! ← You're not interested in the Epiphone Galaxie 10???
  5. Try one of these out. Epiphone Galaxie 10 Tube Combo I think the 6L6 tube would make this amp loud and clean with plenty of headroom.
  6. We got a kick out of that ay Kenny's/NYC.
  7. That's pretty much what happened too. It was great to hear the band live!
  8. I left him another message. Frutti di Mare @ 5pm folks.
  9. I left him a message.
  10. Let's get on with it and say Frutti di Mare. I was suggesting 5 so we'll have sometime to hang before someone has to run uptown to get the van.
  11. So is it Frutti di Mare or Takahachi or is it too early to call it?
  12. Great reviews. I wish I could see their menu. I shouldn't eat pasta or tomato sause. I could always eat before I hook up with everybody and just hang... Where's Jim and Randy? edit: oh, there's Jim. ← The menu is heavy seafood, but you know how it goes. Probably most is served with a side pf pasta. I just posted it because the reviews were strong. Like I said before, you guys pick what you want. ← I didn't notice the menu, I was looking for thir web site. Looks cool to me.
  13. Takahachi opens at 5 on a Sunday.
  14. Great reviews. I wish I could see their menu. I shouldn't eat pasta or tomato sause. I could always eat before I hook up with everybody and just hang... Where's Jim and Randy? edit: oh, there's Jim.
  15. That's true. Where's Jim and Randy? What do they think? Not out of bed yet?
  16. Just tossing out ideas. Check this out.
  17. It's not quite THAT far up, but there is always Mickey Mantle's on Central Park South? ← Check out the polar reviews. Not into sushi Chris? I can understand that. Anyone else?
  18. We could hit Downtown Music Gallery, free show @ 6, then eat. I have no idea who he is, but it's free. Cool store too. (across from CBGBs on 3rd Ave.)
  19. How about Takahachi I have to be careful with my diet.
  20. I'm not familiar with this place. No food...hey! Let's get the band loaded before their NYC debut!
  21. Woah...I was thinking of other parts of the Village.
  22. Doesn't have to be West Village if you have a lot of time.
