A new, charismatic presence in the music industry in Los Angeles is the extraordinary Jazz, Rock, and Blues pianist and composer, Bradley Young. Originally from Chicago, Bradley’s passionate artistry at the piano in that city is legendary. He recently moved to L.A. to continue his life journey, and has been performing regularly at club venues, private parties, concerts and festivals here in Southern California. Bradley is also acclaimed as a music director for high pro le special events, and has worked with celebrities such as Sharon Stone, Geena Davis, Jerry Seinfeld, Teri Hatcher, Sigourney Weaver and many more.

Starting private study on piano at the age of four years old, Bradley was a Northwestern University student at age ve, an Evanston Conservatory of Music student by 12, a Berklee College of Music grad and Chet Baker accompanist by his early twenties.

His first CD, “Midnight Rhapsody”, released in 2000, received extensive airplay around the world, as did its companion music video, which was seen on the BET network in North America, Europe, Asia, and South America. Bradley also collaborated with Jazz trumpet legend Chet Baker. Their recording, entitled “Chet In Chicago” is now being distributed worldwide to unanimous

critical acclaim.

Bradley is a contemporary musician with a profound connection to the music of the Golden Age of Broadway and Hollywood. He delights in performing the great standards of the 1920’s, 30’s and 40’s. Some of his favorite composers include George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington, and Rodgers and Hart. Combining a delicacy of touch with a rich, bluesy and swinging sound, Bradley’s playing has been acclaimed as “a perfect balance of soul and smooth”. He names Oscar Peterson, Herbie Hancock and of course, George Gershwin, as being his deepest in uences.

Bradley is a signed recording artist with European label Enja Records. The gifted pianist recently opened for internationally renowned Jazz guitarist Kenny Burrell at The Temecula Jazz Festival. He is currently working on a new recording project which promises to showcase his distinctively personal approach to contemporary jazz.

Finally, Bradley Young has long been dedicated to the training and development of other talented musicians. His ability to connect with vocalists and fellow musicians alike has established him as an intuitive, inspirational and charismatic mentor. Bradley’s passion is to educate as well as collaborate with other musicians.
