I have that recording but in all honesty i have to say that prefer the 1948 recording because of it's beauty.

I don't know this recording but Bruckner's music and 'Böhm' are a perfect match. I recently heard his 7'th recording from he 40's ... it's so real ... and perfect. Also have to mention Eduard von Beinum (Philips) as idiomatic.
