Dude. I am so mad that I have no friends to fawn over this record with. Really wish I could find a version to stream that isn’t over-compressed and degraded as hell. Unrelenting chaos, straight 16ths from hell, altered and whole tone scales up the wazoo, trading 8s at over 300bpm, and an earth-shattering drum solo by Jones. To me, this is the peak of Coltrane’s OG quartet and their near-telepathic levels of communication, right next to First Meditations
