Red Camp and my Father played together in some bands in the Corpus Christi, Texas area. He was a Founder of the Texas Jazz Festival. My sister was a lifelong friend of Laura Camp, his daughter. They were a funny, unpredictable family- dry sense of humor. Red's given name was Lafeyette Berry(sp) Camp. His wife was Alvis Camp, who taught theory at Del Mar Junior College in Corpus Christi. He, my Dad and 2 others were a local band called The Four Redheads. Nothing recorded, just for fun. My Father was Ben While, Jr. I remember some amazing outdoor barbecues at our property in Ingleside. Musicians have the best parties!
