I was excited to hear the other day from my friend who worls at Concord Records that there is going to be a new Ella Fitzgerald record with some pretty rare collaborations on it. I remember a few months ago getting an Ella tribute record but this one is going to be an HD CD with collaborations with ella and the like of count bassie and the london symphony orchestra. Who here loves Ella Fitzgerald? Lord knows I do. Every song she has ever done is a classic in my book. And the good thing is that there is going to be a tribute album to be released next week with a whole bunch of singers I love singing her old standards.
