One of my co-workers atumg told me about Luciana Souza. I picked up her new album The New Bossa Nova and have really enjoyed it. It’s really relaxing and great after a long day at work, or to even get you through one of those long days. It's also nice to put on in the background when you have a few friends over to relax. Just as "The New Bossa Nova" doesn't make for good running music, I'm afraid. Something's a little topsy-turvey in dancerchick's world. first off, sorry to cause such a stir and for everyone not to think so highly of me. Really i just thought you guys would actually appreciate the news about albums. Its all about sharing new music that is coming out or even artists that I or others have not yet discovered. Joni Mitchell has a new album release Sept. 25 called Shine, anyone heard of it?? I'm really excited about this new cd because she hasn't had a release since 2002, so this one should be worth the wait. I became a huge Joni Mitchell fan ever since i heard Both Sides Now from the Love Actually soundtrack, i love how calming her music is. I play Joni Mitchell a lot at my desk while at work (fontana) just because it's so relaxing. Her (if she's really a she in the first place) post is the normal, cookie-cutter post from all of the label pimpers. Yes, my last few posts have been praises for past and current artists. That "Her" is a she. You're being paid to promote this music, are you not? Your praise is marketing. It would be great if you actually purchased an organissimo CD from the board here, and let us know what you actually think of it, instead of the newest release from your "friend's" company, UMG. I'm not promoting music, I'm writing what I thought about her and praise is not what the word I was looking for.

Apparently, she was nominated for 3 Grammys! My friend who works at umg told me about her because he knows that I like to listen to relaxing music when I go running, so I was able to buy her past album Duos II and thought it was great for my running collection. has anyone heard of bebel gilberto? i just got a chance to check out her latest album, momento. I havent heard of her before until i got to check out the album at my work (fontana) and am loving her music. She sings in two languages and has one of the most beautiful voices i have heard in a long time. She plays acoustic/electronica/jazz. if you havent heard of her i highly recommend you checking her out. her music is stuff you just want to listen to on a sunny day in the park...literally. she does a cover song of bring back the love on her latest album. if you havent heard of her take the time to listen to her music. Started listening to this great artist named Bebel after my friend at fontana put me onto her. She makes very mellow relaxing music that just puts you in a good mood. I got her newest album after it came out last month and it is seriously some of the best music I've heard in a while.
