Sometimes it's the elderly who fall for this stuff. I work with seniors on a daily basis at the bank, and many of them are in various stages of dotage. They have enough mental wherewithal to get through most of the day, but they are not considered bad enough to warrant permanent stay in a hospice or nursing home. I believe that they might fall prey to this kind of stuff. My grandmother use to tell me "There's no fool like an old fool."
