Christiern Posted May 25, 2004 Report Posted May 25, 2004 (edited) I just heard that R.T. Davies has died at the age of 77. There was no better sound engineer for restoration of vintage recordings. I just discovered that there is already a thread devoted to this sad news. Can't delete this one, but someone ought to. Edited May 25, 2004 by Christiern Quote
jazzbo Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 It's double sad news with two threads! J. R. really helped the early jazz speak to many of us and I will always have his work in my collection. Chris, you CAN delete this. Look at the bottom of the page you'll see "Moderation Options." As the creator of the thread you should be able to delete it following those options. Quote
BERIGAN Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Well, until it is, here is the thread in the audio forum... http://www.organissimo.org/forum/index.php...pic=10413&st=0& Quote
Christiern Posted May 26, 2004 Author Report Posted May 26, 2004 I have tried to delete this thread twice, using the recommended "Moderation Options," but it won't go away. BTW, both failed attempts were done when the thread consisted solely of my initial post. Quote
jazzbo Posted May 26, 2004 Report Posted May 26, 2004 Ah well. . . two threads about this devoted jazz fan and excellent engineer-musician is NOT a bad thing! Quote
