PayPal is a bit of a necessary evil these days. Some auctions are "PayPal only".

My biggest complaint with them is their scam for a "premium" account. The first time someone tries sending you payment via credit card, they start hounding you to convert. Don't do it! The wording on the conversion makes it seem like the 3% fee is only for credit card payments. It's a lie... the minute you switch to a premium account all payments from then on are charged a 3% transaction fee - even cash transfers.
