Aftab Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 1st inning or so was interesting (as were the innings pitched by my Brew Crew guys Sheets and Kolb, and the classic Randy Johnson - no runs surrendered), but what happened to the Rocket? I felt bad for him cuz it was played up as "The Roger Clemens Show" and he ended up shining - too bad it was because he was lit up like a Christmas tree. I dig Clemens though, and I feel for the guy - hopefully he'll go on to get 20 wins. Quote

From what I have heard on ESPN, he was doing a lot of promoting of Houston(What, is he running for office?) into the wee hours of the morning... Quote
Soulstation1 Posted July 17, 2004 Report Posted July 17, 2004 my local bartender said it wouldn't surprise him if piazza was telling the hitters what was coming. i don't think something like that could ever be done piazza likes clemens as much as kobe likes da daddy ss1 Quote

I didn't see the game but ESPN said he got his pitches too much up in the zone and when you do that to those professional hitters there's a very good chance they're going to knock it into next week like they did against the Rocket.
