I've seen two different Japanese 2-cd sets advertised for this: ABCJ 226 and TKCZ-79005

Anyone know if these are both the 'Lighthouse '53" sets?

Most Venus releases have the TKCV designation....what company puts out TKCZ ?

I have the TKCZ-9005 edition and it's put out by Venus Records and it's at the Lighthouse. Don't know if that answers your query.

Ah, so it's a Venus after all! Well, their stuff usually sounds pretty good ...so that's probably the one to pick up.

It's also out on a double CD on Jazz Factory JFCD 22847 (The japanese version is probably in better sound). It is not an essential recording unless you, like me, are a Sonny Clark complemetist.

I'm with Vic on this one. The music is incredibly good one on this one. However, the sound, and the Japanese version is a little better than the one I used to have, is not, to put it mildly, very good. It's sort of like the Uptown Sonny Clark at Oakland cd. However, if you can get past that, you're in for a treat.
