.:.impossible Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 I'm sure many of you have links to some great online resources on music. I'm mostly interested right now in the basics of music theory. I've been taking lessons from a vibist up in Boston. Things are going well. I'm learning a lot at once, reading music again, theory, and how to play the vibraphone. Of course, some of this is going to come naturally, and I'm discovering more on my own than I am from the lesson, but I want to develop a strong foundation from the git go. Any links to resources that you all commonly refer to? Thanks! Quote
Alon Marcus Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 I'm not a musician but here are some links you can use: 1. http://www.musictheory.net/ - a great resource for theory and excersizes. 2. http://www.cliffengel.com/online_lessons/ - very good lessons for bassists but can be used by anyone else. 3. http://trumpet.voici.org/ - transcriptions of trumpet solos. 4. http://www.cannonball-adderley.com/part2.htm - transcriptions of Cannonball's solos 5. http://www.lucaspickford.com/trans.htm - more transcriptions for different instruments. Jim Alfredson Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 It's a turntable, my friend! The picture doesn't have a tone-arm on it because you purchase one seperately. Quote
.:.impossible Posted November 7, 2004 Author Report Posted November 7, 2004 Its just a lazy susan until you add the tone arm. Quote
