slide_advantage_redoux Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 I have a Columbia 6 eye LP of Rosemary Clooney with the Ellington Orchestra. Nice side, but for some reason it doesn't appear in the Goldmine Jazz LP book. This LP came from my bro-in-law who has switched over to CD completely and saw fit (thank you lord!) to give his entire LP collection to me. In the 400 some odd LPs he passed along to my ever eager hands are numerous Shepp sides that I didn't have, lots of Miles and Trane (some dupes, but some I didn't yet have) and lots of Ellington, etc. Is it common for Goldmine to overlook/accidentally omit some LPs? Just curious. Quote
brownie Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 I have the 2000 Goldmine edition. The Clooney/Ellington album is listed as 'Blue Rose' - its original title - under Rosemary Clooney. No indication that the Duke is on that one... Quote
