riverrat Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 It seems this must have been asked at some point- can someone direct me to a complete list of all domestic RVGs released to date? Quote
Chuck Nessa Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 None have been deleted, so go to the True Blue site and use the search "drop down" menu. Quote
riverrat Posted January 27, 2005 Author Report Posted January 27, 2005 OK, that worked. Haven't been back to the ol' BN site in awhile, since the Great Meltdown.. Quote
Ron S Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 Here's the RVG Series catalog on the Blue Note Site: RVG Series catalog. Quote
riverrat Posted January 27, 2005 Author Report Posted January 27, 2005 Yes thank you Ron, that is the same link I found via Chucks pointer. Just what I need to make sure I am not paying huge $ for a JP reissue that is out on domestic RVG. I haven't been following the releases too closely lately. Quote

sheldonm Posted January 28, 2005 Report Posted January 28, 2005 Wasn't there a Hutcherson and a Silver with vocals that came out a bit ago (last batch) or were those Conns? Quote
AfricaBrass Posted January 28, 2005 Report Posted January 28, 2005 Wasn't there a Hutcherson and a Silver with vocals that came out a bit ago (last batch) or were those Conns? Those were Conns. I'll get them eventually! Thanks for the list, marcoliv! Quote
riverrat Posted January 28, 2005 Author Report Posted January 28, 2005 Yes thank you. The chronology is interesting to see and not offered on the BN website. Quote

ianfaith Posted January 28, 2005 Report Posted January 28, 2005 Wasn't there a Hutcherson and a Silver with vocals that came out a bit ago (last batch) or were those Conns? If you're referring to "Now" and "United States of Mind", both are indeed Conns. And, I might add, both are now available via BMG or yourmusic.com, along with recent Conns from Jack Wilson, Sam Rivers and Andrew Hill. I recently picked up all except the Silver for just $4.99 a disc. Say, is that stealing? Quote
marcoliv Posted February 25, 2005 Report Posted February 25, 2005 updated since Basra is no longer on the list..... Marcus Quote
riverrat Posted March 21, 2005 Author Report Posted March 21, 2005 I understand that domestic RVGs are now the same remaster as the JRVG versions already released. At what point in the complete list of RVGs did this Blue Note policy change occur? In other words, going down the list, at what point can I assume that the RVG and JRVG versions will sound the same? I believe I recall it being discussed that even if the same remaster is used, the JRVG may still sound superior because of better quality control, but any such differences would likely be beyond the ability of my ears or my sound system to discern. Thanks in advance. Quote
