md655321 Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 I know this has been covered somewhat on the emusic thread, so I apologize for the redundancy. However, I just rejoined emusic to re-download the stuff from the unlimitied days (having just found out that was possible) so I know have 24 songs remaining. I want one or two song albums (I splurged on the 10 track Fred Hersch plus 2, and boy am I glad I did!) So, im looking to get some Marilyn Crispell, Cecil Taylor, Anthony Braxton, and any other of the various out music on there. Any suggestions for good albums with minimal tracks? I have already downloaded Braxtons London (Quartet) 1985 and Evan Parker's 50th birthday concert. The Parker is magnificent. Thanks Quote
John B Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 off the top of my head I would highly recommend all of these: Braxton – Birmingham 1985 (3) Braxton – Coventry 1985 (4) Braxton – Two Compositions Trio 1998 (2) Ganelin Trio – Catalogue Live (1) Ganelin Trio – Con Affeto (4) Ganelin Trio – Ancora (2) Albert Ayler - Slugs Saloon 1&2 (4) Ivo Perelman – Seeds, Vision (3) my next Leo download will be this one: Braxton/Parker – Duo London (5) Quote
