Daniel Andresen Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 The last concert of the Tel Aviv Jazz Festival was by the Roy Campbel Pyramid Trio. In the past my definitions for jazz did not to include Free Jazz and Fusion, (I got into Fusion through Miles' work), but in the past couple of years my definitions have been changing. The concert the Pyramid Trio gave on Saturday was very impressive in all aspects (both visually and audioably). On top of that I was very impressed by the reasons that causes Campbell to create: He seems like a guy who has strong opinions about things and he puts his views into his music. Quote
