Stellar Regions question

John Coltrane "Stellar Regions"

I'm listening to track 7 "Jimmy's Mode" and starting around 4:15 into the track I hear a melody that sounds very similar to the Beatles' song "Fool on the Hill". But "Fool on the Hill" wasn't yet released to my knowledge and Stellar Regions wasn't released until 1995. What melody is Garrison playing there? Are the Beatles and Garrison's melody both based on an older common source? Or is it a coincidence?

if you mean the vamp like lines, those sound much like a folk tune with some arabic or klezmer tinge to me. Pretty sure I have heard it somewhere before as well, though certainly not with the Beatles.
