Kevin Bresnahan Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 (edited) I recently downloaded Musicmatch's latest released version, Ver. 10.0. Installed it. Looks nice. Rips mp3s at 10X too. Good stuff, right? I was in the middle of a project for my daughter, ripping all of her Now 2, Now 3, etc. CDs, right up to Now 18, for burning to CD-R for our upcoming vacation. Better to bring two packed CD-Rs than 18 CDs. Well, prior to the upgrade, I had ripped Now 1-9. Everything was OK. Each track had a song title and an artist. After 10.0 was installed, I ripped Now 10-15 and then noticed that all of the tracks had been ripped to be from an artist named "Various Artists" . Playing the tracks showed this same text. Not very useful if you're playing back the mp3 in a portable player. I went to Musicmatch's website and saw where they are now claiming that it's not a problem and that they have no plans to fix it. So, every version up to 10.0 worked the same (and properly) but 10.0 does it different and they think it's fine? Well, I went and found an old version and installed that. No more Musicmatch upgrades for me. Kevin Edited April 3, 2005 by Kevin Bresnahan Quote
