Sundog Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 I've been having issues with my Fender Deluxe Reverb for about 6 months. Just can't seem to get that clean sound that I used to be able to get out of it. Very long story short, I finally broke down this weekend and got myself a new rig. Bought a Raezer's EDGE cabinet and Acoustic Image integrated head. This set up is a phenomenal combo for clean jazz sounds. If your looking for clean tube-like tone in a very portable package consider this setup. Here's some links. Raezer's Edge Cabinet Clarus R1 Integrated Head P.S. This set up is also excellent for amplified steel string acoustic. Played a Breedlove through this set up at the store. No coloration whatsoever. True acoustic sound only louder. Quote
7/4 Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 And what are you playing through this set up? Quote
7/4 Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 Sweet. Enjoy your new amp & cab., but did you bother to get the Fender serviced? It sounds like it needs new power tubes. Quote
Sundog Posted April 6, 2005 Author Report Posted April 6, 2005 All my problems started when I got new tubes and had the amp rebiased. It's a real long story... the amp definitely can be salvaged. I'm just so fed up with my "repair" experiences that I just decided to screw it, and buy what I really wanted. I pretty much stopped doing rock and blues gigs last year so I can get by without the Fender. Quote
AfricaBrass Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 One of these... 99' vintage Sweet! I love those Guilds. Quote
