Steve Reynolds Posted April 16, 2005 Report Posted April 16, 2005 sounds like a great little quartet anyone attend? for those who havn't heard Lindberg, he is one of the great bassists in music today - or ever Quote
alankin Posted April 16, 2005 Author Report Posted April 16, 2005 Very good show, dismal attendance (fewer than a dozen people!). (Trying to figure out why, the venue's been getting 50-60 people for shows lately. Maybe people went to free jazz show across the street.) And yes, Lindberg has tremendous technique and swings as well. Hope he puts out another release as a leader soon. Some nice soloing from Malaby as well. Quote
Chalupa Posted April 18, 2005 Report Posted April 18, 2005 I went to see Sonic Youth, who were playing Penn's Spring Fling(which may acc't for a low student turnout). Still kicking myself about not seeing John Tchicai last Saturday nor Prince Lasha the next night at the Slought. D'oh! Quote
