randissimo Posted May 3, 2005 Report Posted May 3, 2005 When we, (Organissimo) played the Clearwater Jazz Holiday Festival in Oct 2003, I heard Terry Lynne with Herbie Hancock's trio.. She was really playing inspired.. I would love to hear this concert.. I'm not done teaching drum lessons until 9 pm so I guess I'll miss the webstream opportunity.. Oh well, you'll just have to review the concert.. Quote
James Posted May 4, 2005 Author Report Posted May 4, 2005 Oh well, you'll just have to review the concert.. with the right arm in a sling [where it will stay for at least 6 weeks] this won't be any real review, but terri and her pack of young lions really tore it up tonite. many magical moments delivered via beautiful arrangements, solos mature well beyond the cats' years, and texture-shift from tune to tune. no clones on this bandstand --- young players intent on developing their unique voices. great, great night ---- such sweet medicine.
