kh1958 Posted July 24, 2005 Report Posted July 24, 2005 You have won Stump The Organissimoites. Everyone should send you a free CD, I would think. JSngry Posted July 24, 2005 Author Report Posted July 24, 2005 CDs I got. Shelving, however, would be welcome... Quote
Michael Fitzgerald Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 According to Lord they are the same, but he's also got the guy who recorded in 1958 with Bubber Johnson and Tommy Dean in there too, so that leaves an unlikely gap from 1958 to 1971 (Mainstream) to 1977 (Lionel Hampton presents Bill Doggett) then Frank Foster, Clark Terry, Ted Harris, Ted Curson, then Ruth Brown (1988) and finishing up with a leader date on Mapleshade. Now, obviously Lord has screwed something up because the above guy has a note "aka C.I. Williams" but then there's a separate entry for Charles "C.I." Williams who is listed on a single date for Ruth Brown (1994). Wish I could ask Ted Dunbar. Mike Quote
