ghost of miles Posted August 6, 2005 Report Posted August 6, 2005 I saw an advance copy of Guralnick's Cooke bio in a used bookstore last night. Refrained from buying--I'd rather wait for the hardback w/an index and corrections, and also throw some coins Guralnick's way. High hopes for this, given PG's excellent Elvis bios: Quote
Kalo Posted August 6, 2005 Report Posted August 6, 2005 (edited) I agree that he's a very good writer, with a rare sense of humility in the face of art and life. I've read all of his previous books and will definitely get this one down the road. Edited August 8, 2005 by Kalo Quote
paul secor Posted August 6, 2005 Report Posted August 6, 2005 Daniel Wolff's You Send Me is still on my shelf, waiting to be read. I'd hoped that Guralnick would hold off until I got through that one! Quote
