Templejazz Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Just a quick inquiry. Where can a list of currently obtainable TOCJs and JRVGs be found, and where might they be acquired? Thanks in advance! Quote
David Ayers Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 (edited) To look at available TOCJ I suggest (1) go to hmv.co.jp (2) enter the search term TOCJ as a catalogue number search. Make sure you have switched to the English language version of the page! Oh and as Claude is about to say, then order them from earlyrecords.com. Edited October 10, 2005 by David Ayers Quote

couw Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 You should note that there is a recent series of so-called TOCJ24s, 24 bit re-whatevers of the classics from the catalogue. JAW has been posting some lists here on the board, here's some search results Besides some awesome sounding ones, there are some clunkers in this series, though, like with the JRVGs. So, although they not always bring you the best obtainable sound, the earlier 16/20bit BN Works series is still the most consistent. Quote

David Ayers Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 I wanted to attach my various TOCJ/JRVG lists but I ran out of space. I'll try to think of a way round it when I have time. Quote
Son-of-a-Weizen Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Wholeheartedly agree--unparalleled service! True. A major plus is that the man knows how to properly package things up. The box that arrived today looked as though it had been hit by a falling oak but none of the mini-lp corners were dented...not a cracked jewel case in the lot. He puts the ten-thumbed members of the packaging crew at CD Universe to shame....as does Amazon Japan. Quote
Peter Johnson Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 True statement. 4/4 demolished jewel cases from this last batch of Conns from CD Universe. They are good, however, about shipping replacements pronto. Wholeheartedly agree--unparalleled service! True. A major plus is that the man knows how to properly package things up.
