Rooster_Ties Posted October 13, 2005 Report Posted October 13, 2005 (edited) Doing a search on eBay for Miles Davis DVD, reveals LOTS of Miles Davis DVD's. I've seen a couple of these before in stores (always of 70's footage), but I see on eBay that the '67 and '69 footage is coming up quite a bit too (which I hadn't expected). Any general or specific suggestions for getting a decent quality DVD, with both of the '67 clips (either on the same DVD, or separately), and getting them with pretty good video and sound quality?? (At least as good as what's available, realizing it ain't gonna sound perfect.) I used to have both of the '67 clips on VHS, but have since misplaced the tape (haven't seen it in years), and would love to find some of this on DVD. Thanks for any advice anyone can offer!! (Wouldn't mind getting some of the '69 footage too, for that matter.) FWIW, this is the auction that really had me tempted... Rooster_Ties Posted October 13, 2005 Author Report Posted October 13, 2005 BTW, one of my old VHS versions of one of the '67 clips (the 43-minute one, I think), had a time/frame/marker/counter running throughout the footage (the whole 43-minutes), which obscured the bottom 10% or 15% of the screen. It didn't ever bother me much, but I'm currious -- is this the only version of this footage that survives?? Or is there a version floating around without the time/marker stuff. Are both versions floating around?? That said, overall decent picture and sound is more imporant to me than the absence of the time/marker/counter thing. Quote
