BERIGAN Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 I have Volumes 3,4, 7, 11, and 12(And at least one more that I can't find right now) of the Hot N' Sweet and have wondered what if any difference there is between those cds, and the Masters of Jazz series. They both have many alternates, I haven't heard any of the MOJ cds, but the Hot N Sweet have pretty good audio. They both ended long before they should have as well. Oh, there is one more Volume 7 at www.wherehouse.com of all places http://www.wherehouse.com/music/product-detail.jsp?id=800142 Very hard to search their site for cds in a series I have found.... brownie Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 The Hot 'n Sweet series was produced by a group of French jazz critics (including Jean Buzelin) and enthusiasts. Slightly different from the Masters of Jazz series and people. I think the Hot 'n Sweet series is not as thorough as the MofJ was! I have several of their Basie broadcasts CDs which came out before the MofJ releases and the latter ones sound better to my ears! Try this link for a look at a number of EPM jazz releases: http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Jean%20Buzelin:1927232148 Nice to see Berigan endorse products from France Quote
