jazzbo Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 I just bought a really slick Sony dvd recorder/vcr. I want to use it to transfer videos of musical performances to dvd from vhs. This machine will use DVD+ and DVD- media. . . . I bought some DVD+ Maxell blanks and burned one two hour dvdr, really easily and successfully. I don't quite understand the difference between the + and - media and which may be the most practical both fiscally and operationally. If anyone can enlighten me, thanks. Quote
jazzbo Posted November 23, 2005 Author Report Posted November 23, 2005 Okay, a little checking made me believe that they're basically the same operationally (some editing things are possible with + that aren't with -) but that - are more compatible with more dvd players. Quote
7/4 Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 I think the + format records at a faster speed than the -. Quote
