Tete Montoliu

Anyone know where I can purchase Tete Montoliu compact discs issued in Spain aside from the usual haunts like Amazon, Tower, Dusty Groove, etc? I recently placed an order with Fresh Sound-Absolute Distribition-Blue Moon in Spain but half of the CDs issued on Fresh Sound, Discmedi and Helix are out of stock and/or print.

Looking in particular for Lliure Jazz, Per Sempre, It's Standard Time Volume 2 with Charlie Mariano and For Anna.

And a small advice: avoid the Helix releases. To my knowledge, they are non-authorized reissues that sometimes miss some tracks from the original releases, as you can see in my Tete Montoliu Discography at Michael Fitzgerald´s "JazzDiscography" website. There will be a major improvement in the discography in the next months. Stay tuned!

Thanks for the links. Unfortunately the Discmedi S.A. site has several Tete Montoliu CDs listed but they did not take a credit card number or other method of payment when I proceeded to checkout. I recieved an ordrer number but no payment information was requested. What do I need to do to actually buy these CDs and complete the transaction? Thanks. Bob

Yes, you can use credit card.

Change to the English version of the website by clicking the Union Jack at the right side of the screen.

Select your discs adding them to the basket. Select "Checkout", fill in the form, selecting TPV-on line as payment method. And you´ll access to Caixa Catalunya Virtual POS (Secure Payment System), where the data from your credit card will be required.

A very interesting NEW TETE MONTOLIU "package" produced by Miquel Jurado will be presented next Monday. I will attend the presentation and open colloquim on FNAC (Callao, Madrid).
