jazzmessenger Posted February 17, 2006 Report Posted February 17, 2006 It was recorded in Columbia, Missouri when I lived there. Although I was supposed to get an invition for this fund-raising concert, I didn't get one. I am still upset about this since Bobby Watson was (is) my favorite alto player. But even if I did, I probably couldn't afford $200 ticket anyway. I was a poor graduate student back then. I got this CD, but haven't listened to it, yet. But I would imagine that any Jazz Messengers fan would probably want this CD. So, I am passing along the information. You can order one from here. The CD with shipping is a bit expensive, but it is for a good cause. For your information, only 2000 copies are pressed for a limited edition release. Quote
BeBop Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 This one caught my eye. I don't buy many CDs these days. But I do have a little thing going for duos, including alto and piano. Williams and Watson are usually both worth hearing. The samples at Amazon and CDBaby sound fine. Any feedback? Quote
Dan Gould Posted September 19, 2012 Report Posted September 19, 2012 I got this one back then and the track I used on a BFT was well-received. I give it a big Quote
