Scott joins us to discuss and world premiere the forthcoming McGill/Manring/Stevens CD titled “What We Do”. This forthcoming CD will be released August 22nd 2006. This is a groundbreaking new CD. of classic and modern jazz standards done "The MMS Way". The liner notes were done by world acclaimed jazz/fusion journalist and author Bill Milkowski and the CD. was mixed by soundscape genius and guitarist David Torn. The CD will be available for those attending the NEARFEST festival this year June 24th and 25th (www.nearfest.com) before the actual release date from our label Free Electric Sound/The Laser's Edge. We’ll premiere the new 2 CD Robert Fripp reissue of the 1979 classic Exposure featuring alternate tracks, and new Daryl Hall vocal tracks never heard. We’ll also feature the forthcoming Ozric Tentacles CD titled The Floor’s Too Far Away just in time for their performance at the upcoming North East Art Rock Festival. We’ll also feature 2 new releases from the Soft Machine camp. First up, from Cuneiform Records the new CD/DVD recorded in 1970 and 1971 from Soft Machine titled Grides. We’ll also feature the latest release from the Moonjune Records label in Soft Machine and the Legacy CD recorded in late 2005. The album is dedicated in loving memory of Sax player Elton Dean. We’ll also feature the new disc from Sax player Ed Palermo and the Ed Palermo Big Band titled Take Your Clothes Off When You Dance featuring tributes to the work of Frank Zappa through his early to mid career. Zappa fans will be pleased!
