I finally got to actually look at, and purchase this book at the Museum of Comic Art in San Francisco this weekend. I heartily recommend it to anyone with a "jazz" sense of humor, and it would make a great addition to your Christmas list for that person who never knows what to get you ....

This has been discussed in the past but I can't find the link. A very good book indeed (he has others as well). I have spoken with Gene in the past; he has resided in Prague for some time. I wanted to see if he would draw a cartoon for me (photographer/cat shooting a jazz musician) and to my surprise, he did. I'll post the cartoon when I get home.

I have pretty much a complete collection of the Record Changer magazine and they are a blast to look at. I will part with some of my dupicates in the near future if anyone has any interests.
