Back some time ago there was a thread about headphones for walkman players. I actually took the advice of one of the writers and bought the ones he recommended. Was very happy with them. That pair finally died on me and I had to switch back temporarily to ear buds, which I don't like.

Can you guys give me some recommendations? Criteria is headphones and not ear buds. Price not to exceed $50.00. I use them every day when I go to the gym.

Why dont you just buy another pair of the ones that died?

Head-fi is a great source for finding out what you want, lots of discussion from knowledgeable people. If occasionally near psychotic people when it comes to headphones.

Let me chime in once again with my rec for the Sennheiser HD 202 set.

Nice isolation, and sound. I am listening to Miles' Guenneviere on a pair as I type!

I spend about 3-4 hours each day with these on my noggin. It is like they aren't even there.

The Sennheiser PX 100 is my choice for portable players. Great sound, comfort and you can get 'em for about $50. They come with a case that takes a little getting used to, but very nice also. Check out headphone.com for more.
