Head Man Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 A few days ago I suddenly noticed that my emusic connection had changed from a US based site to one with with 'UK' in the title. I then received an e-mail telling me about the launch of the UK site and saying that my subscription would continue as before so there was no need to worry. However today I decided to buy a booster pack and suddenly the price of them has changed from $ to £! So now a 50 track booster pack has risen from $14.99 or about £8.25, to £13.99, an increase of about 70%! What a con! So in future I'll be confining my downloads to my monthly contract and keeping a very close eye on what I get charged each month! Quote

tjobbe Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 ... Yet another example of rampant UK over-charging.. ... one part of the rip off is the 17,5% VAT added now....not sure what exactly the fee will be now but it seems that the increase will be done based on a 1:1 $ to € conversion plus VAT (and a premium on top ?...)
