Durium Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 (edited) ROBERT ALTMAN ( 1925-2006) Robert Altman passed away 20th of November 81 years old. He made a lot of films. For me Kansas City and the related documentary Jazz '34 are his most important. Although Kansas City didn't became a success in a financial way it had great jazz scenes with an all star band of musicians still active. In the film only fragments of these musicians performing are to be seen - in the documentary Jazz '34 Altman used the complete shots of Kansas City for this film.
