Teasing the Korean Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 On my previous computer, I used Toast to extract and burn CDs. If I ever had a CD that exhibited serious scratching and did not play well, I would use Toast to make a clean copy. One thing I liked about Toast was the fact that it either made an exact clone or it would abort the burn. If it could read through the scratch, it would copy the track perfectly; if not, it would tell you. I’ve tried to do this recently with iTunes, but here’s what it does, at least on my computer: If there’s a scratch in the original that results in a digital repeat, iTunes copies the music with the digital repeat. If the original track runs, say, 5:13, iTunes simply copies whatever aural nonsense occurs for a duration of 5:13 and then happily goes on to copy the next track. Has anyone else ever encountered this? Quote
