Been reading this throughout the day; depressing commentary on how many people make such long commutes in order to have the kind of home they desire. Sometimes I feel like the American "way of life" has turned into a real mess. I'm grateful that my wife & I have a nice house within walking distance of downtown and that I can ride my bike to work (10-15 minute trip).
