chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez Posted April 28, 2007 Report Posted April 28, 2007 just got the Earl bostic proper boxed set- 1952 sees trane and blue mitchell in the band together-- i thought this was weird cause didnt they not record together a lot in their later hard bop carreers, is that right? did they ever make any lps together later on? kh1958 Posted April 29, 2007 Report Posted April 29, 2007 No, I don't believe so. Coltrane's trumpet partners, besides Miles Davis: Wilbur Harden, Donald Byrd, Freddie Hubbard, Don Cherry, Idrees Sulieman, Webster Young, Bill Hardman, Johnny Splawn--mostly on Prestige. Quote
